Finance and Commerce Newspaper names Marcia Malzahn as one of the Top Women in Finance recipients
Minneapolis, Minnesota - Finance and Commerce newspaper announces Marcia Malzahn as one of the recipients of the "Top Women in Finance" Award given this year to 35 "influential women who strengthen Minnesota's economic growth and prosperity." The event was held at the Hilton Hotel, downtown Minneapolis on November 6, 2008.

FWI FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES RECIPIENT OF THE
VIRGINIA D.H. FURMAN OUTSTANDING MEMBER OF THE YEAR AWARD
Roseville, Minnesota – Financial Women International is pleased to announce its winner of the 2006 Virginia D.H. Furman Outstanding Member of the Year Award, Marcia Malzahn. Marcia is the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Operations for Tradition Capital Bank, a new bank she helped start in 2005. She also serves as the Corporate Secretary of the bank’s board. Considered a business leader in the Minneapolis/St. Paul community, Marcia was the recipient of several awards including “25 On the Rise,” given by the Minnesota Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to successful Minnesota Hispanics under the age of forty. Marcia was also named one of the “40 Under Forty” awarded by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal to the top forty professionals in the area under the age of forty. She is the author of her new book Devotions for Working Women – A Daily Inspiration to Live a Successful and Balanced Life which is coming out in October, 2006.
Marcia has been a member of FWI for thirteen years. She commented that, "FWI’s mission is to help women in the financial services industry be successful in their careers. FWI is part of my life because its mission aligns with my personal mission to encourage, motivate, and inspire women to be successful and balanced in every area of their lives."
The Virginia D.H. Furman Outstanding Member of the Year Award was named for the Financial Women International's first president and is presented each year to the FWI member who demonstrates exceptional achievements in the association. To be nominated for the prestigious award is, in itself, a great honor and attests to the regard in which the nominee is held by her peers. Two Bankers Named 40 Under Forty by Business Journal
The MBA would like to congratulate two of our members, Alisha Johnson and Marcia Malzahn for being named 40 Under Forty by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
40 Under Forty recognizes 40 top leaders in the Twin Cities based on their professional accomplishments, demonstrated leadership and community contributions.
Alisha Johnson is currently on the MBA Board representing District 3. She is Senior Vice President, Director of Marketing for Highland Bank in St. Paul and Chairwoman of the American Bankers Association School of Bank Marketing & Management.
Marcia Malzahn is a member of the MBA Emerging Markets Task Force. She is CFO, Vice President of Operations and Corporate Security for Tradition Capital Bank in Edina.

Business Journal names 2006 'Forty Under 40' winners

The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal has announced its 2006 "Forty Under 40" award winners.
The award honors 40 Twin Cities professionals under 40 years old for their business accomplishments and community contributions.
Now in its 13th year, the "Forty Under 40" project received more than 300 nominations. Past recipients include Gov. Tim Pawlenty, State Auditor Pat Anderson and Minnesota Twins President Dave St. Peter.
This year's winners were featured in a special insert in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's May 12 print issue.

The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce honored Marcia as one of the '25 On The Rise' and was featured in the November 2005 issue of ViceVersa Magazine.
